Find a centre

Find an Early Learning Victoria centre near you. Search our map using an address, postcode, suburb or council name.

We are establishing 50 centres in communities with the greatest need.

Where possible, we’ll locate the centres at or alongside schools. This supports children to get the most out of their early learning, makes drop-off more convenient for parents and carers, and can help with a smooth transition to primary school.

If a school site isn’t suitable, we’ll look at other options like hospitals, TAFEs and other major employers so the centres are accessible and convenient for families.

The announced locations include 28 regional locations and 22 metropolitan locations, with specific sites for 2025 to 2027 below. Plans for future sites are underway.

How we selected locations

Across the whole state, we used data to find the places with greatest need. We looked at:

  • how much childcare is available in different areas
  • how many people need childcare and how much of this need is not being met
  • how disadvantaged the areas are, based on a measure called SEIFA (Socio-Economic Indexes for Areas).
